Membership Sign-Ups: You can still sign-up to a Lynbrook FBLA member today! October 7 will be the FINAL day to both fill out the online membership form AND turn in membership dues to Mrs. Badger’s room (#606) if you want to participate competitively in FBLA. If you do not turn in your dues AND fill out the membership form by this date, you can not compete or try out for FBLA competitions. However, after this deadline you can still join as an FBLA member to enjoy events, committees, and projects.
Competition Sign-Ups: Competitive events are the highlight of Lynbrook FBLA. Check out the Competitive Events Guide to learn about the 55+ competitions that FBLA offers. To sign-up for competitive events to screen for, click HERE. Competitive event sign-ups will CLOSE at 11:59 on October 6.
First Community Service Activity Sign-Ups: Visit the form HERE to sign up for our first activity of the year, the West Valley 5K Run! Sign-ups will CLOSE at 11:59 on October 6. You will receive 10 points for each shift you attend.

FBLA is not just for high school students! With a collegiate division as well as a division for educators, teachers, and even parents, there truly is something for everyone.
Parents can register to become professional members of FBLA by joining the Professional Division. Fees are $25 for 1-year membership. Some benefits of Professional Division membership include:

If you missed today’s meeting, don’t fret! Attached, you’ll find today’s meeting powerpoint.
If you sign up to be a member HERE TODAY, 9/22/11, BEFORE 12:01 AM, membership fees for you will be $35, even if you could not make it to Parent Night (we decided to be flexible this year because of scheduling conflicts). Sign ups on 9/23/11 and later will cost an increased membership fee of $45. Most of this money goes towards the awesome zip-up sweatshirt you’ll receive later this year! Payments are due no later than next Thursday, 9/29/11 in Mrs. Badger’s room.
If you want to attend Leadership Development Institute, indicate your interest on the membership registration form (linked above) TODAY by 12:01 am and pay the necessary amount by next Thursday! Registration is due very soon so we apologize for the hurry. See the attached powerpoint for more details on LDI.
Finally, be a part of the Partnership with Business Committee (indicate your interest on the membership form) and APPLY for one of the three OFFICER POSITIONS in the committee! Anyone can apply, and do it for a jump start into FBLA. See the previous post for details, or email projectchair@lhsfbla.com if you have questions or want more details!

Interested in jumpstarting your FBLA experience with a leadership position? Look no further than the Chapter Project Committee Officer Team. Officers will get an opportunity to work on the planning and development of the entire project from its beginning to final stages. Application is attached!
