About

Founded in 1937, Future Business Leaders of America is one of the oldest student-run business organizations in the world with a quarter of a million members. With a multitude of opportunities, FBLA aims to develop its members in a variety of areas in preparation for their future careers. Conferences, workshops, and individual chapter activities such as business tours and projects prepare members in public speaking, interviewing, college and career planning, and much more! Competitive events help members hone their abilities in a wide spectrum of areas from mathematics to computers!

The organization is divided into four major levels: the chapter level (ours is LHSFBLA), the section level (ours is Bay Section), the state level (ours is California FBLA), and the national level.

As a chapter, we’ll develop our skills with a variety of activities such as business tours, workshops, projects, committees, competitive events practice, and much more! Though we’ll be working with other levels of FBLA indirectly throughout the year, we’ll interact directly with them at the four major conferences that will take place at various times throughout the year: the Leadership Development Institute, the Bay Section Leadership Conference, the State Leadership Conference, and the National Leadership Conference.
